Well, I've recently been challenged to a Guilty Gear tournament. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for the Wii. This, along with Star Soldier R, pretty much requires me to get an arcade stick. Be attitude for gains, I must win. Etc etc. I've been avoiding it for so long, because they're pretty damn expensive. But I have to bite the bullet. A few quick questions: 1> Is the Hori Fighting Stick for the Wii wireless, or does it connect via GC port? 2> Is the Hori Fighting Stick compatible with Virtual Console games? 3> Is the Hori Fighting Stick compatible with WiiWare games? 4> Is there any way I can use some type of converter to use my Wii stick with my 360? 5> Is you is, or is you ain't, my baby? TIA.
>4 I've not come across anything like that. Heck, I've not seen anything that will let you use a Virtua Stick HG on the 360, so I imagine Wii -> 360 peripheral compatibility isn't very high on anyones agenda *shrug* >5 Hell no.
Why would someone ever want a ARCADE stick for a Wii? Isn't the Wii about the TV remoter controller thing and stuff?
Amazon.jp reviews confirm: 1: Wireless, i.e. you plug it into the Wiimote. No worries about delay. 2: Yes, but you're f*cked when you can't change the button mapping in-game. 3: Don't know, but why shouldn't it? The Wii probably recognizes it as a Classic Controller anyway.
1> Answered Above 2> The same as above 3> I suppose that it'll work 4> No, the only converter for the X360 is the XFPS, it's only for PSX/PS2 controllers, and it lag when you use it with a stick like Hori Real Arcade Pro. 5> I own a Hori Fighting Stick EX II for the X360, and the stick and buttons feel "cheap" compared with a HRAP, and I think that Wii fighting stick uses the same components; if you want a good comercial stick, mod a HRAP, it isn't very hard, but it'll be more expensive.
