Many of you will know about the international circuit of Mugello; well it's just 1 hour from my flat, so i jumped on the car and went there for training with my HD camera. there were qualifying sessions for

    fiat 500
    F3000
    F3
    Gran turismo (GT1-GT2)
    and prototypes

a great show for all people that likes cars, and for free too! :)

the circuit is placed on the hills of tuscany, there's trees to lie below to and all the places are on an higher level then the track, so that you can see most of the track from anywhere.

    the video is here: http://www.vimeo.com/1378211

    post your comments.

Some very nice shots there of cars coming over hills in to the apex. You really should invest in a quality tripod though. It would make things look so much smother.

i have one, but it was the first time i went there and had no clue of the place... so didn't want to bring too heavy things.

in any case next time i'll be ready, since i've already found all the best shooting places :)

the camera is the wonderful canon hv20. it's realy cheap and good for being a full hd camera.

i'll post again next time i'll go there; the next interesting chance is on september, they have a nice GT endurance race...

by the way, i was lucky with that Ferrari driver's error, uh? :D

I'm glad some of you guys like to go to the racetracks.

I always go to watch Brazilian Stock Cars, the Brazilian GT3 Championship and even trackdays.

The last trackday i went, there were cars like Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, lots of Mitsusbishi Evo's and Subaru WRX and a brand new Ford Mustang, tuned by Roush Racing.

We used to have track days in the next city called Mine. The track closed down a year ago though. Great shame because I wanted to take my Impreza around it. When it was open you'd see the likes of the Honda NSX, loads of Evos and Imprezas, Mazda RX7, Alteza, Nissan GTRs and 911s, and if lucky the Ferrari owners club would turn up posing in their cars. They'd hardly ever race them though. Just pose :( Ah, I miss the Mine race track. Still, at least we still have the mountain track even if it is a scary as hell. only night racing competitions held and NO lights!

My dream would be to take a Aston Martian DB9 around the Nurburgring Ring in Germany.

i wouldn't mind doing the same on nurburgring with an BMW M3... or better on mugello with a stock car like an honda accord or a golf
