I trust everyone reading this has read einbebop's post in this forum, and I'd like to thank him for bringing this matter to our attention. I thought it might be nice for us all to chip in and get him a little "get well soon" gift. I was browsing his recent posts, and noticed his interest in the following: GD-R discs from adam-james at $20 a disc (shame he's splitting another spindle, but never mind that now eh!) Chaos Field Sega Direct Bonus CD, or the complete set. Perhaps if some of us chipped in, even just a dollar each, we could get him something from the above list? What do you all think? Maybe adam-james would be willing to take dollars by PayPal if the idea proves popular?
Sounds like a good idea. I think he'd appreciate the consideration; always nice to know you're not alone and there are people out there watching for ya, even across the globe. :smt045
He already orded thios from me but Sega are out of stock. I still have his payment in my Paypal account though. Still trying to get hime a copy but it isn't looking good. Tried my local shops but they said the chances are slim. I'll find out on Monday if it's possible to get any more. Yakumo
I was able to get one, but my old co-worker in Japan is taking a 2-week vacation like a sucker, so I won't get mine until next year. Yakumo: YJ? Still seems kinda goofy to get him a gift that he's already paid for. I think the GD-R thing sounds good, if he's into that type of stuff.
I would like to help you, but my Paypal account is at hold at the moment, since i had some issues with my credit card. I might get something for him later on.
Yeah, I know. What I meant to say weas "Don't buy him Chaos Field" since it's now on it's way to me. Of course people could donate twards it's cost which then can be sent back to id-republix so it turns out that his game was a gift from the guys at assembler. 5 US dollars each would easily cover the cost back to him. Yakumo
i want a gid too , no one gives me gifts , not even my dad or mom , no1 likes me, they all hate me for being weird :smt022
Send him Madhatter in a thong. :smt045 :smt045 :smt045 :smt023 :smt023 :smt023 :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers: :no :no :douga
Doesn't work! Been there more than once and I didn't get squat! Though when I nearly had my leg amputated by a Japanese Akita I did get new pants and some new trainers (paramedic had to chop them up to treat me + blood everywhere :-D ). Get well soon :smt023
Instead of me, I'll send him my buddy who looks like this guy: He paid for his college expenses by working as an exotic dancer so he's hot, for a guy, but that don't mean I'm gay nor my friend :smt042
Hello all, Apologies I haven't had time to do this sooner because of the current situation with my brother. I am idrepublix's older brother and am greatly appreciative, as I am sure he is, of the concern and best wishes of everyone both here and at the DreamcasHistory boards. I have to admit I was taken aback by the consideration shown here for someone that you know online but not in person, and it goes to show what a community of great people there is here. In all honesty without exaggeratation, it blew me away. Concerning his health at the moment he is thankfully as mentioned both stable and conscious, which are big pluses considering the severity of the accident. The impact and whiplash suffered by his neck and upper back are painful but thankfuly within the realm of healing through physiotherapy and medicine. What is keeping him in hospital for a potentially extended stay are the injuries to his right eye and forehead caused by the shattering glass of the windshield and rearview mirror as the cuts are quite deep to his forehead and the injury to his eye having caused temporary partial vision impairment. It is very painful for him but he's thankful it is not any worse, as there was potential for far worse injury. Being the game nut he is when painkillers are keeping most of the pain away he does while away time on his DS and also his dreamcast with a screen built in, on which he was actually able to log onto Phantasy Star Online (didn't play much, he said he wanted to see the xmas decorations in the lobby). Finally this idea for a gift is very, very generous and I am sure would be appreciated by him as a gesture of your kindness and concern but please don't go to any trouble to do so. Your concern and kindness here have been amazing. Finally, a thank you again from me and on behalf of my brother and our family for your well wishes and concern, as it means a great deal. And also, if anyone needs to get in touch with my brother please do so through me throgh the PM feature here or on my brother's email address as I am taking care of this stuff for him while he's in hospital.
Glad to know his condition is stable now. Wow..playing PSO on hospital, he is indeed a game nut ':-D'
