Would that power supply work in a SCPH-10000?

I recall that later machines require 12V for the HDD but I also recall that the SCPH-3000x can be very similar to the SCPH-18000.

I ask because my SCPH-10000 has a third party power supply and it kind of irks me. I had to remove the female pin connector and solder a little bit of wire to each pin for a connection as it was intermittent. Definitely seen a PAL machine with this smaller motherboard too.

    SCPH-10000 = 8.5v
    SCPH-30000 = 12V

No, it doesn't work. SCPH-30000 has 12V PSU because it has to work with the HDD inside.

SCPH-18000 with GH-008 motherboard (AB-Chassis) is based on the GH-004 (B-Chassis) motherboard so it also runs on 12V. Yet the psu connector position is slightly different from 30K and 10K/18K so a 30K PSU won't fit on a 10K/18K console.
