If your third (or fourth, I lost count) Xbox 360 is still working, expect it to die when they send out the next major system update: http://features.teamxbox.com/xbox/1596/Xbox-360-Spring-Platform-Update-Details/p1 :icon_bigg
Whatever happened to Minter's CD visualisation thing? Does it come built into the system, and is it full screen? I only ask because it looks like Media Player is included with the dash board.
It's been in the system since launch. Yes, it is full screen. Media Player is not new, though it is being updated. -hl718
"One of the more exciting features is Active Download. As noted in the earlier news story, you’ll be able to set up a series of downloads and have them complete in the background. Greenberg said that this feature will enable you to queue up to six files for download, and that they’ll come through one at a time. You can also change the priority of the files so you get them in the order you choose. Downloading also takes place in the background, so you can go off to play a game or listen to music without interrupting the file grabbing. The only time this changes is if you enter an Xbox Live-based portion of a multiplayer game. Johnson said that there’s no way for the console to allocate bandwidth, so your downloads are automatically paused (with an onscreen notification displayed), so all your bandwidth is devoted to the multiplayer action. The ability to cancel all downloads with a single button press is also being added, so you can clear your queue if you need." The ONE complaint I had about the 360 has now been fixed. Bravo Microsoft... bravo. Actually, upon reading the entire article I am VERY excited about this update. They are heavily improving on what I already considered "damn good".
