Getting really sick of my 360 controller always disconnecting, is there a way to make it suck less? I've cleaned the battery contacts, but that only makes the slightest difference. Are the rechargeable packs better than the standard AA battery holder?

Why don't you get high capacity rechargeable AA's?
I am using the black eneloop XX and I can't complain.

This is an easy fix. On the side of the battery pack facing the controller, right in the middle is a rectangle metal piece. Just use a small screwdriver, fork, or whatever to bend/pull this outward. If you do it right it will stop disconnecting. It has worked for me every time.

This is what you need to bend:

    Hope this helps.

It's not that the batteries are going flat (I already have some rechargeable AAs) but that the controller seems to frequently disconnect itself, even with full batteries.

Thanks! I'll give that a try!
*EDIT* That trick seems to have made the controller less sensitive to bumps. Gave the controller a series of good whacks after bending the prong, and it stayed connected! Assuming the it as just the batteries being bumped that was the cause of my problems, this should mean the problem is solved! Thanks man!
