Abes Exoddus Beta .02 (PSX)

Here's a beta build of Abes Exoddus for the PlayStation. I'm not sure if this one has been dumped already or not since there are a couple floating around the internet. Writing on the disc identifies it as ver .02 but I haven't had the spare time to play it yet, so better than let this gather dust...

I obtained this build from a collector a couple of years back. Apart from that I don't know it's origins.

 

Interesting, i've just played this version and, apart 2 or 3 minor differences, the rest it's just the same (or really close) to the final one.

Speaking about the 2 prototypes of Abe's Exoddus that you've mentioned (and that i have) , this version is almost close to the final one and the minor differences are present in the 2° prototype found too (the 1°st had no "CD 2" , so it's the oldest one of this trilogy of prototypes!).

Still nice tho. I'd like to think that this version is a "preview" one to show to someone (maybe sony?) the progress of the game (how much job was done around it , how much time left for the final release , when it would have been ready etc.), because i've checked the files between this ver. and the released ver. and the dates are just the same. Who knows?

 

It's more likely that it was sent to the press.
