    Hi!

Its my first thread on Dreamcast forum and I don't know if this forum is the correct place to talk in Dreamcast repair.

I begun a console collection and my last console bought was a Dreamcast model HKT-3020 Revision 2.

I have knowledge in electronics and can perform services such as soldering and reflow, I no have practice in reballing.

I have no knowledge on Dreamcast hardware and I have some doubts:

1- The lens R48 not work, is at the end of life, this lens can be changed for SPU3200 or only by another R48?

2- The console has pictures problems, this problem can be resolved or the GPU will stop to work?

Have you cleaned the A/V out connections with some isopropyl? mine was only sending signals when the A/V cable was positioned a certain way until it cleaned the connectors. My laser is at the end of its life also, but I adjusted the Potentiometer and it's working a lot better now. That looks like it could be damaged VRAM although that's just my first guess.
