I know there's quite a few guys herein assembler that are working in different companies so I wanted to ask if anyone (with access to ninty's developer website) knows if there's any actual info about the indie deals/licenses/contracts to make games based in Wii's virtual console. Any info. will help
well.. as I'm no Nintendo developer so all I can help you with is this link: http://www.warioworld.com/
well.. I was mostly thinking of this part: http://www.warioworld.com/apply/ thought they don't have so you can apply to Wii yet =/ I guess you could go here and follow these notes and just say in the mail that your intressted in the Wii and not the GCN: http://www.warioworld.com/apply/gcn.html but I don't think it be easy to convince them if it's just you and no company and that you got no publisher. In order to have a chanceI think the best to do is: * Come up with a good game idea (* Get a development team) * Convince a publisher that it is a good idea * Contact Nintendo For some bonus points.. make sure that atleast some of the people in the team has track record and has past experience developing for consoles. (Not having this CAN some times be a reason why publishers say no.. they don't know if you got what it takes to complete the game) sure nothing of this has to be true in order to become a official developer. Some times all you need is a great idea and some luck well that's my crapy little guide to "success in the console biz"
