Access to psn on ps3 debug....

hi to everyone, i'm going to buy a ps3 debug in these days, and i want to know a couple of things:
-can i access to psn ?
-can i downgrade the firmware ?
-i can update the fw via internet or usb key ?

Firmware can be updated by USB stick, but you might have trouble finding it, as retail firmware does not install. Not sure about downgrading.

PSN should be viewable.

Update via USB drive, "Internet" only if you have an own update server setup or know one you can use, there is no "official" one like for retails.

Downgrade is possible, though to downgrade from 3.55+ to 3.55 or even lower you need a special 3.55 downgrade .PUP

Retail PSN is accessible from a debug, but ONLY if it's running at least the same FW version as retails are enforced to use.
Dev-PSN is firewalled these days.

No special id is required besides only doing quick sign up on a new different profile at least

 

SP-INT (and others) are enviorments for developer only and use own account systems for each. NP is the retail one and you can access that as usale, if you set it as enviorment in the settings.

You can asume that SP-INT won't be accessable anymore, since it is firewalled as Hellcat said and won't come back for you. For people with SCEDEV and SP-INT access (seperate thing, SP-INT is added to NP Managment in your developer account seperatly) it's already back for a while now.

On 3.72 you can still access PSN still since 3.73 was no mandatory upgrade, all previous upgrades were. The grace periode for mandatory ugrades is roughly 1 week from release.

 

How can it be accessed with firewall enabled or it will just pretend that the ps store failed to connect?

 

You can't unless your IP is whitelisted by Sony (via NP access tool in your scedev account).

 

So ur saying i need the np access tool givin by sony or something or is it i need to be a sony member from scedev now to access?

 

It's a webapp in the developer login at scedev.net. It whitelists your ip in their firewall to sp-int.

 

Oh i see, thats nice so its a web download app that it needs my dev account and then i can access from there? Sorry if im mistaken

 

Web download app? No, it's a simple website on sony's servers, but you need to be a registered developer with sony to gain access to it. I know of two places with access, and basically unless you are working for a company and the machine is at work and it is locked up there, you'll never get on the whitelist or the site.

No it's not that site, that's information for developers that want to get a development kit and access.
The link is restricted, and the information on it is protected by NDA, but basically it's got software, firmwares, pdfs, devnet access and information, etc.
