whats up everyone im new to the board so i figured i would say hello. now in regards to the acclaim auction for the 200+titles. i just came from the storage facility where all the records are being kept. the amount of disks as well as the paperwork is completely overwhelming. i saw literally hundreds of nr disks as well as hard disks for the gamecube, a memory card emu for the gamecube, n64 flash roms and thousands of cd-r's with games on them. there is too much to list right now. im currently going over the index of all the boxes. im taking the day off tommorow to spend the day there searching for the items i plan to bid on.
Huh? Does that mean you also get the games when you buy the license? Or am I thinking of the wrong auction here?
This is still going on? Hasn't acclaim been picked clean yet? Considering assembler was walking off with the office fixtures i can't imagine what's left...
You realize the minimum bid is $3000 per title. It's not about the items. Unless you have $3000 per pop, you're going to be out of luck. People could care less about the nr discs, carts, etc. They want the intellectual rights, publishing rights. This is going to be a big boys league, and if you think they're going to accept $1000 for the rights to anything gamecube, you're out of your mind. Think $15,000-20,000 to start, if not more. It might be interesting watching for sure. But as I said, the auctioner said the minimum bid is $3000 per title for old titles, and up to $100,000 and up for modern titles.
ive got plenty of coin to spend on these titles. i wish i could have found out about the earlier auction. i would rather have the development equipment. but ill still spend a hefty amount to own a piece of history the court clerk i spoke to said he thought he knew you assembler
Would these auctions include Japanese games Acclaim had publising rights to? I know they published some Taito games in Europe anyway...
Assembler is fooling you all! He is really a monkey-like space robot from Alpha Centauri sent on a mission to confuse the semi-geeks of earth until their heads explode into a jamboree of cherry flavored pez and some icky grey brain matter.
