I have tried to use an action replay 2 and its trainer to find cheats with these two games, pier solar will run with it but no valid codes can be found that works, star odyssey will luck up after the super fighter logo with any code on. I can find the values in star odyssey, they match ones i created for blue almanac with an emulator. i tried to use a beta of pier solar to help find code on an emulator also but they are dont work on the final game. i can find some codes on the real game with the trainer but they dont work once turned on.. Id guess iam out of luck. I beat pier solar was hoping to find some easter eggs.... as with star odyssey was hoping to level up and get some cash to save grinding time.
Action Replay's do some strange stuff with MD hardware anyway, what with bypassing the licensed screen and all. I've got a couple other unlicensed games that do not work with the Action Replay also; I guess a combination of the PAR's inherit wonkiness combined with the copy protection schemes present in these carts adds up to the strange behavior.
