Not to harp on RegalSin too much, but looking back on that thread it seems obvious that he must have been huffing gasoline. Either that, or he was just faking it, and even that seems improbable as it would take a great deal of skill to pretend to be that dumb. What the hell does that mean? Even the first sentence (or rather, the first two word fragment) makes no sense. There's nothing in previous posts that it could refer to. I guess he's saying that the BG&E intro was really bad, but what the hell does having a choice between Spanish and English have to do with it? I guess his implication is that he doesn't like seeing Spanish (even as an option) in an American game. Of course, even beyond the stupidity of the message he's trying to get across, he's also saying it in a profoundly stupid way. The rest of that sentence makes sense if you infer from the context what he's talking about, but if you read it literally it's almost a paradox. "[it] would not let you see the Title screen ever unles you choosed." He's trying to say that it wouldn't show the title screen unless you chose the language, but in the way he phrases it it literally means that "you can't see the title screen unless you choose to see the title screen." That's basically like saying, "you can't go to the store unless you go to the store." Genius. I suppose it's a bit of a waste of time to pick apart such a stupid quote - but hey, it's fun. :icon_bigg It's a bit like trying to decipher an ancient language or something. To sum up, heres a translation of that quote (from idiot to English): BTW, sorry if I'm thread-jacking.
He meant that in stores, if they had a BG&E in a console they would turn it on and let the intro run and title screen attract customers. But BG&E would just sit at a "ENglish or spanish" screen
What he meant was he considered Beyond Good & Evil to have a crap title sequence because you were required to set your language before it played - and thus when it was demoed in-store it commonly was left on the language select screen for the whole day rather than actually playing the titles. So, he said this because he is a muppet rather than being racist towards people who speak Spanish as their first language. It surprises me that you couldn't understand that, and maybe it was your own prejudices of RegalSin were getting in the way of your comprehension. On a similar vein: it irritates me slightly that you never get the opportunity to see the title video for Eledees (Elebits) without patiently not moving the controller and waiting. People missed out on seeing it because Konami hadn't the sense to show it before the title screen - but maybe that's just me.
I don't understand what you just said, but I'm going to assume you said something racist and make fun of you every chance I get. I never knew of RegalSin, but come on, just try to understand what he says before you judge him.
I know this is posted somewhere but you'll understand some things after reading it Christer. http://history.sydlexia.com/index.php?title=Regalsin I still was not a member of the boards when RegalSin was banned here, but I saw his "performance" on Hawanja's forums and I understand what is everyone talking about...
Oh he was definitely racist, just take a look at some of his old posts. Better than that, do a Google for "Regalsin," and see a few of the other 47 boards where he's been banned for the exact same behavior. We should make a movie... called "The Legend of Regalsin." It could be an intenet western....
What? It's not me who cares if he says racist stuff, I'm just amused by how he types things. He has said stuff that can be considered racist, that's all I meant. But who knows. RegalSin is an enigma, not meant for us mere humans to understand.
I hate to say this, but there is a part of me that wants to invite RegalSin to my forums, just because of the endless hours of comedy he could provide. But then I realize he would probably ruin every single thread and would make things suck.
I think it may have been both. In any case, it isn't worth arguing about - I was just poking some fun at him.
If your forums are about games, he will show up eventually. So beware. Back to John, did you guys ban him or what? I really think you all ought to give him another chance. He's a good guy on the inside, maybe a bit wacky sometimes.
Personally, I think this situation is going to happen again, and perhaps even again until GoH seriously offends someone. That said Kev has made his opinion on the matter clear (See have your say thread) and had vowed to keep an eye on the situation. The 'ignore' option is being suggested as a solution, however GoH's comments go down in AG history as some of the most ridiculous I have seen. GoH is not banned. I'll give him this though, he sure knows how to sail close to the wind and survive! Hangs on tighter than dog shit to the bottom of a pair of hiking boots! Plus, it must be admitted, this is the 58th post on a thread that shouldn't have gone past 1. We keep answering! OH:
