I could do both, but I'm not sure how it sits with the rules of this site.

I assume it would probably be ok? as they release unreleased stuff and do presses of it, so I dont see how starfox 2 is any different?

But some staff confirmation would be good.

I'm in Brazil and mailing things back and forth is a pain in the butt. Mostly sending things back are a pain in the butt. I had packages I sent returned from U.K. and Spain.

So if you were in Brazil I would offer my service.

I even have an pending parcel for an assemblergames member atm.

It is not ok to openly advertise or sell reproductions/bootlegs. Assembler has said so.

About Star Ocean, RetroUSB (the maker of the PowerPAK for NES and SNES) will soon be offering brand new (100% new parts) Star Ocean, not need to hack up an original cartridge.

You have a point about the unreleased nature of Star Fox 2. However when you are talking about selling it like this it gets murky. Either ask Assembler or do your business in private.

I was actually talking about a GD-ROM drive interface from a Katana BOX that is with me and belongs to a member of the forum...

Also I was talking that it's extremely troublesome to send parcels to other countries from Brazil because the customs of the said countries aways treat the packages as suspicious goods...

And again, I'm not advertising anything. If I wanted to profit from this I would be trying to sell them, not trying to teach others how to make theirs themselves.

No hard feelings at all since all you said was said on the best interest of the forum ...

Sorry, that was not a response to your post at all. I edited mine to clarify.

Teaching or helping people make such things themselves is perfectly fine.

Well, I didn't really think I was talking about bootlegs since starfox 2 was unreleased (kinda like Geist Force) and I was asking for a new chip to drop into a legit StarOcean cart. But,I will try to be more mindful of the grey areas and make sure I am not breaking any rules. ;)

Assembler makes the rules. From what I recall basically he doesn't want any public selling of bootlegs. If you had a real Star Fox 2 prototype that would be one thing, but a recreation i.e. bootleg is not. However getting help, like information or having someone send you a programmed eprom isn't a big deal. And ofcourse, you can do whatever you want in private. Really if you are unsure, contact Assembler and ask.

I realize that this is a really old thread, but it is one of the few leads I have found on the Internet addressing this. I would like to add battery backup a Dirt Trax FX cart but an not completely sure how. I had considered trying to use a donor MAD-1 chip tied into the console 5V line and the SRAM chip, along with a MOSFET, capacitor, and battery (plus a diode to protect it). Does any of this seem feasible? Thank you for your help!
