    Hello all

Firstly I'd like to say am a novice at modding consoles (I can re-wire or replace things, extend cables and other easy/small jobs)

I have a Revo K101 GBA Clone system I bought it brand new and think it's pretty good. For those who don't know what they are they're GBA Clones (as per the name) but they can be plugged into the TV and you use the machine as the controller to play the GBA games on the TV

An AV cable runs from the machine to the TV and is far from ideal, as stretching a wire directly from the Revo K101 is a bit of a pain and puts stress on the connection so I would like to add a SNES controller on to the system. I don't mind that by doing this mod I will be making the system a 'home console' rather than portable system.

My plan was to buy a SNES controller cable extender cut it and solder the necessary wires to the mother board and then plug in a SNES controller when I want to use the machine

If anyone could help me identify the points which I would need to solder the SNES wires to that would be great and if it isn't possible and/or I am totally missing something then please do let me know.

Here are some pictures of the machine opened up:

To me it looks like soldering points are available but I could be completely wrong!

    For inspiration: http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=18901

Basically if you're good at soldering there's more than enough place to solder to, it even seems like you got actual pads to solder to!

    Good luck!

    Édit:

You can not simply cut the SNES cord AFAIK. It's not a one wire power button controller like Genesis. If you want to do that you'll need a microcontroller. What you can do is like I did with the nes pad for DC, but you'll need one wire per button plus ground.

That PCB makes modding this console pretty east, there are test points for just about everything...
A standard snes controller jack isn't going to fit on that thing anyway, so just make a custom one (direct wire to buttons).
An RJ50 connector would fit nice and you have the added bonus of not confusing it with something else, ie a usb controller...
