So, a friend of mine recently acquired an AdLib Gold 1000 soundcard, still factory sealed, the card itself dates back from 1992.

He asked me how much I thought it was worth and I have no clue, there are a few listed on eBay, the other AdLib model (from 1987), ranging from $70 to $300, but not any AdLib Gold 1000 complete with box, inserts, drivers and the card still factory sealed.

Thought of asking around here, any ideas?

Here are some pictures he sent me:

In what way is it factory sealed? The bag is in a poor state and just because it is sealed does not mean factory sealed, I mean those bag sealing machines can be bought quite easily in a kitchen appliance store and it is just an anti static bag.

With old PC hardware you really do need to find someone who wants it, but it is quite a rarity as it did not sell very well and it should fetch $100 easily.

Thanks guys, I didn't express myself correctly, the card is still sealed in the anti-static bag, but from the looks of it the bag is not in a great condition, might have been re-sealed as Jamtex says.
