    hi,

Just bought 2nd hand Advance Wars for GBA. How do I clear the data?

I'm a bit gutted that all the War Room maps seem the same as the DS version! Days of Ruin's 'Free Play' is a bit pointless; I liked having set scenarios and being graded...!

Just start a new campaign and save over the old one.

Or you could try pressing Start+Select+A+B at the intro.

Alternatively, you could try some flash programmers if you have them. Usually they give you some kind of method for overwriting save memory.

Try holding L+Right+Select before turning the game on.

I know they mention it in the guide somewhere.

Haven't got the manual, hence why I asked..

And the prize goes to Oldgamingfart! I knew it would be some haphazard combination. I did try holding various buttons while powering up but couldn't find that sweet spot ;) Cheers dude,

I've desoldered a battery or two in order to remove stubborn data. Maybe I should have asked around first :katamari:.
