Advice on selling

I hope this isn't a rules violation, but I have some stuff I'd like to sell and I'm not sure what I should ask for it, and the best format for selling (i.e. should I post it here, put it on ebay etc.) Is it permissable to ask for advice here?

 

Well, it depends on what you're selling and how much you want for it IMO. When you come to boards like this, DP or AtariAge people tend to know what things are worth and have a limit to what they'll pay. Now on eBay, that's a different story.

 

You could make a (Price Check thread if you are absolutely uncertain of the value of your objects.

I don't think there have been any problems with that so far...

 

I hope it isn't some unreleased game that will create havoc even if you mention you own the game...

Just be aware, there's a general stigma against new users selling items...and for good reason. People get annoyed when people just come here to whore out their items for sale...not that I'm accusing you...

You might want to hang around first...get the hang of the site...feel free to do a price check though. No harm in that, and they're a ton o' fun too.

 

Just be sure to include pictures with something personally identifiable (i.e. your user name).

 

Ah, I'm aware of the stigma...and it's my fault for being a lurker, I've been around here for a long time, just honestly never have much to say(I just checked and my earliest post was from 2004)..I think my last posts were almost a year ago. And no, it's nothing super rare/unreleased. Just a saturn and some rarish games (SF 3, Albert Odyssey, stuff like that.)
