Sorry for the generic question, but how hard is this to come by? (at least without being raped by eghey prices)? There is an ebay auction for a loose cart for $125!! How truly rare is this game? I had this hope that it may appear sometime locally at a new retro store that opened up, but I'm not counting on it..I would like to add this to my shmups collection someday as I really only started collecting from the 32-bit era onward. Thanks.
Isn't this just Sonic Wings? If it is you'd be better off getting the Japanese version. The last boxed one I saw went for 11'000 yen. Yakumo
According to http://www.digitpress.com/, it is a scarcity level 8 and a loose cart should only go for about 25 dollars USD. However, http://www.neoseeker.com/resourcelink.html?rlid=13657 says 35-50 for loose and 80-120 for complete. I suppose the value could have gone up since the guide was created though.
aero fighters is hard to come by, even on ebay; most days you'll get more hits for the pcb than for the cartridge. it's definitely gotten more expensive over time, but it is one of the genuinely hard-to-find snes titles. collector appeal plus "hardcore" genre appeal plus actually being pretty good (as opposed to games that are hard to find because they're terrible) means you'll have to shell out for this one, because most of the auctions go from zero to crazy long before the last day.
Yakumo is right. Import it. On ebay I think I saw 2 boxed for around 40$. I've noticed often times the japanese versions of games are far cheaper and easier to find than the North American versions of games.
Thanks for all the info guys. It is exactly the knowledge I need to hear as I try and obtain this title
I bought this loose for my friend for about £2, he still has it, i cant remember if its the pal (if there is one?) or jap version now mind, its that shaped cart tho, he still has it. good version.
