Two reccomendations that will help you out no matter what heatsink you use:

    1) Buy this:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Innovation-Cool...897?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item3cb6310619

This stuff lowered my 100% load temp by 10°C. Very expensive compared to AS5 or the free crap you can get but IMO worth every pence.

This has some experiences of a guy who made his own from scratch with numbers to back it up:
    http://www.inventgeek.com/Projects/DiamondGrease/overview.aspx

    2) Lap your heatsink!
    http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/lapping/

It doesn't take much to improve things, I've half-assed it by using a high grit to smooth the heatsink face on top of a block of wood (not ideal by a long shot) and it dropped my idle temp by 10°C.

My CPU is an Intel Pentium Dual-Core at 2ghz with the stock aluminum heatsink. I've also done this to my old Radeon HD4850 and saw very similar numbers in terms of temp improvement with each but it was more like 5-8°C. Most of the high end aftermarket heatsinks are pre-lapped but do be sure to try out the diamond stuff.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with that eBay seller but that is the same stuff I buy regularly and would do lines of if I felt it would improve my brain's processing capabilities.

derekb: thanks but it dont fit my card :'(

Cyantist: fuck the haf. i stuck the 4 120mm's on the side of my 600t and it made like 2'c difference

APE: i already got artic silver 5 compound on it made about 10'c difference, the lapping process looks interesting but i dont think it will help in my case. id rather get a bigg heatsink to drag more heat out the thing

If you have it higher for a while it will become background noise (almost natural to you) It can have effects on your hearing though.
