Alongside System Shock II..Which i later bought a PC just to play.. My most sought after DC game.. Wanted it to be the DC's Silent Hill.
Toy Commander developer does horror.. Unseen64 gives you a good account: https://www.unseen64.net/2008/04/10/agartha-dc-cancelled/ From comments section..NC who worked on the game; The studio bosses (we were Sega ‘internals’) were on a meeting with Sega Europe to increase the production team capacity when they were told that Dreamcast was cancelled and all dev studios were being closed or sold. A brutal ending for the team (based on ‘Alone in the dark’ originators) and therefore for this exciting production.
Dude, if you have the GD-ROM with the game, please dump it online. You must avoid that this piece of history gets lost
Wow such a rare find. Looks pretty cool considering its no where near completion.Hopefully you can make a longer gameplay video of it. In any case congrats. It looks very impressive, goes to show it wasnt really the graphics that killed the dreamcast. off-topic: wouldnt this thread belong in the unreleased section?
Agartha was for me the most important dreamcast cancelled games whit shenmue 3 and soul reaver 2. Its just a Demo. You have nothing to do, just walk and watch the Land. Whats is important ? -You can see the direction of No cliché for this games. -The soundthrack is Incredible. -The atmosphere is. ... This games would be able to be the games of the dreamcast whit shenmue. -
I have a lot of respect about this games, about the No cliché team and Frédéric Raynal. I can t release this games but I hope maybe in the future . I think I don t have the ability to release this jewel.
I don' know if you're interested but there's this really excellent group that could help you to release that demo https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedreamcastjunkyard/
Maybe it's too much to ask you this but, can you take a picture to see how the GD-ROM of Agartha looks like ?
Missed that there's a topic for this. Anyway, if I were you I'd try to contact the original developers and ask for their blessing to release it since it sounds like you don't want to accidentally show them disrespect by putting it on the net. It'd be doing us all a huge favor, anyway
That's a tough one. While all fixed-angle horror titles owe AitD something I don't know that this concept could deliver what Silent Hill was able to. IMO a more frightening and unrelenting game has yet to be made.
It will be released on January 15th of this year, with permission from one of the original programmers of the game
It was whats i want his permission . But don t forget, its just a Demo, nothing more. Its really interesting for the history of the dreamcast but to play its not the best . You have a Nice debug menu.
Wow, another classic is getting released! Thank you so much for this, what a great way to start the year. I know Frederic is very friendly with his fans, is he the one that gave permission?
