Hi everyone. Long time luker just joined up... I'm currently doing an ags101 LCD install into an original GBA and am having some trouble with the output of the screen... Its all white. I am using an original, official ags101 LCD and Chinese ribbon adapter, from eBay. I have not yet checked continuity of each pin on the ribbon cable but I do believe that is the cause of the problem. I can get a nice picture if I mess around with the ribbon connector, manually moving it around without snapping the tabs down...but I cannot hold it like this for long and as soon as I lock the tabs the screen goes white again. This happens with and without the brightness wire soldered onto either point or not at all. Suggestions? I've already contacted the seller of the ribbon adapter...which claims all are tested before shipping (pffff right)...and I'm ready to return it for another after checking the continuity.
Have you tried the fixes for washed out colors from here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/gba-backlight-agb-001.328487/page-38? Might be worth it to see if it makes a difference.
I found that thread this morning, actually! I had some trouble with my wiring while trying it...and actually removed the REVC pad... But that worked too, haha
