I vaguely remember that there is a company in Germany that does airbrush console for magazine as prizes and promotions. I just spent half an hour searching for the site. I remember it ends in .de but I couldn't find it. Could someone help me out here?
thats the thread it was about the airbrush company TOP AIRBRUSH in germany http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21114
Thanks, I found that thread already but I overlooked the website, I found it now but thanks anyways. Do we have any germans here who could lend me a hand? Thanks!
Just be aware that it is impossible to get a "copy" of those consoles shown on Top-airbrush's website. We've a very straight copyright here in Germany and it is illegal to have a copyrighted picture or a company logo sprayed on a console. He just makes this consoles in contract for puslishers / developers.
That sounds fair, and means that any LE's which are commissioned really are true LE's and one-of-a-kind's. It's nice that the artists get big companies to recognise their talents and enlist their services, and like all great artists, it would be pointless to mass produce their artworks simply for monetry profit. Creating one or a handful of unique artworks should be satisfying enough for any true artiste! I would imagine that many 'Test' console cases exist or have been used though, which I would imagine have either been embargoed by the commissioning company or destroyed after the final piece has been created. Obviously there would exist some kind trials for the artist's portfolio which I would imagine are safely kept by the artist / company I've always admired their works though, especially after seeing what they have done for some of those LE Dreamcast consoles!
