Anyone ever own one of these things? I always wanted one as a kid cause they could cram a mega drive and mega cd into a cd player. Never seen it up for auction but I am curious how good the quality was on this unit and what the bios looks like.

I owned one about 10 years back. The build quality was ok but nothing special. The sound out of it was sub-par as well.

I saw a youtube video of it in action, aiwa didn't even bother putting their own image on the bios just used the mega cd 2 bios. Still be kind of a interesting system to own. How much does it go for these days?

I bought mine for 6000 yen 10 years back from hard Off. They said the CD drive was dead but all it needed was a good cleaning. I was lucky though. They normally fetch about 25000 yen in good condition.

That sounds about right considering how obscure they are.

I found it in Hard Off of all places. Unboxed sitting with the other beat boxes or what ever they're called these days.
