I did a thread on what we collect on Vinyl and I have a collection video coming in a month or so, I have a few albums I'm either waiting for or haven't been released yet before I make that video. So I thought I'd do another one about albums we wished were easier to get on Vinyl or aren't on vinyl or should be.

So here's my list SO FAR

Nine Inch Nails, The Fragile and With Teeth
Keep the Downward spiral, The Fragile and With Teeth to me are far superior albums. Plus the Fragile is a very different album on Vinyl than CD.

    Oasis catalog
Defiantly Maybe and Morning glory got reissues, Be Here now is my favorite Oasis Album and their work after is pretty amazing too.

Chemical Brothers, Dig your own hole
I am a HUGE Chemical Brothers fan, Brootherhood got me Block Rockin Beats on Vinyl. It'd be nice to have the rest of the album, especally when Exist Planet dust and Surrender aren't too hard to find or expensive on Vinyl.

    New Order, Substance 1987
A vinyl copy isn't hard to find, you just have to be willing to pay for it. Hence why I'd love to see a reissue. This is really the only New Order album you'll ever need since all the big songs are on it. Unless you really like their turn of the century brit pop/rock sound.

    Smashing Pumpkins, Adore and Machinama
I've found most of the catalog on Vinyl, EXCEPT THESE TWO. They happen to be my favorite Pumpkin albums too.

    Marilyn Manson, Mechanical Animals
The Uproar around Manson in the 90s is kind of silly when you realize he was basically being bowiesque. Mechanical Animals is Manson pretty much being David Bowie. Another super expensive Album to get on Vinyl.

Ok Assembler Vinyl collectors it's your turn.

I think Be Here Now will be reissued as well, sometime this year.

PS :Still have to buy the What's the Story Morning Glory 3CD edition by the way.

The 3CD version has all the live tracks and Bsides I take it? The Vinyl Reissue had a download code for those, which baffles me considering the care that went into the vinyl version (and Vinyl only bonus track)

Ah, yeah the Vinyl Reissue came with those extras too but only as a digital download. I'd rather have the CDs. I can't listen to MP3s anymore.

Gotta agree with The Fragile. Amazing album. Funny to think what when it was initially released it was considered a disappointment. Now in retrospect people cite it as his best album.

Some 80s stuff is a real pain in the ass to get a hold of. I needs me synths but the demand drives the prices up.

The Fragile, With Teeth and The Slip got me through some rough times. The Older I get the more I appreciate Pretty Hate Machine. Not big on the new NIN album though, or Year Zero.

With Teeth was the first album I really got into from start to finish. I think mainly because it was more accessible than any of the albums before it. The Slip was definitely a surprise hit. Releasing it free was another great Reznor move. He actual hails from Mercer, PA. I live about 10-15 minutes from there. My dad always asks his step-mom how he's doing because he sees her at his work pretty regularly.

Yeah, It's aged well, as fresh now as it was 10 years ago. While Downward Spiral still sounds decent, it's a bit jarring lyrically aside from a few songs where he channels David Bowie.

Ghosts was another experiment that surprised me. It came out of nowhere and blew me away.

Then there are the friends I made because of NIN. None of whom I still speak to but I think I bonded with more people over NIN than any band.
One girl I was best friends with for years until she got all Leftist on me, even wrote obsessive and hilarious role play fan fics about one of the NIN Touring bands. To the point she fooled everyone she knew that she was living with Jeordie White (AKA Twiggy) She was a weird one I tells ya.
