Does anyone have more screenshots of this supposed cancelled game? There is only one Ripley render http://www.unseen64.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/alien64c.jpg A user from Gearbox forum saw a video from this render http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=70884 "*1997, Alien 64 - Nintendo 64. A few test shots of the main character were released, but little else. I'm sure I once saw a video of this test, but I was probably asleep or something."
Two other screenshots I collected that are apparently from this: http://www.jaytheham.com/cl/Alien.7z No idea where I got them (years ago) or if they're just mock-ups (likely..?)
2 of those screenshots are of Alien Trilogy. Im not sure if the N64 game was a port of it, but if it was the ripley render shot might have been from one of the prerendered "death cutscenes" in AT.
I think that test render is from one of Alien Trilogy's cutscenes, I remember seeing that pose with the Smart Gun somewhere in the PS1 game.
yeah, the "Ripley" render looks to be a test from the beginning cutscene in AT, I figured it was in one of the cutscenes: The figure in the test picture is at 1:10 in the video. I think Alien Trilogy on N64 would've been good.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but the question that popped into my head seemed relevant to those interested in your thread. Does anyone have info on the canned Aliens RPG. I think it was supposed to be developed on PS2 or Dreamcast?
Sorry, no idea, but I don't think that this thread is the best place to ask in, as it's for an N64 game which might not interest people who potentially know about the PS2/Dreamcast game you're asking about, so they might not come in here - you might be better off starting a new thread about the RPG game. But an RPG based around surviving an Alien attack could be fantastic, I didn't know one had been planned. I wish they'd released it.
The only thing I remember about that PS2 / Dreamcast one is that it was published by Sega. I didn't even know about the proposed Alien 64 game. I came in here curious and that sparked my memory about the Alien RPG. Cool topic though.
