Is there a USB hub available that you can plug your, NES, SNES, MegaDrive, N64 etc controllers in?? I have had a look but to my surprise i dont think such a device exists?, i would have though some company would of released a usb hub where you could plug in all your old retro controllers!?

I used to have a device that used to accept PS1, n64 and SNES pad

Yeah have seen that but is a complete rip off, you need to buy the device which is approx £55 and then need to get a adapter cable for each retro controller with is another £20. So in total if i wanted a NES, SNES, N64, Megadrive and GameCube pads to work with this device plus the device itself i would be looking at £155 plus shipping on top, no thanks

(the item above reminds me of the kade...)
    ...
    not comfortable outside linking places...yet!
    ...
online search for 'bliss box usb' and you'll get some hits!
    ..
    BE WARNED!
the item is custom as f*ck and will set you beck to your virginity!
    ...
given it's nature (and the subject request) an 'all-in-one' retro pad to usb socket converter will be a job and a half!
    ...
the 'bliss box' devs build socket converters to spec...
i'm NOT aware of something in between, or produced on a mass scale vs cost effectiveness!
    ...
    fork out! :friendly_wink:

First it's opensource, all you need to do is download the files and build it yourself. No costs at all.

Secondly the prices for prebuild units are in BRL.
So the unit itself is £20, each cable £9 and shipping is £10

For what it's worth I just recently bought from Bruno Freitas. I got the RetroPad Adapter Lite for the original Xbox together with cables for Saturn and SNES pads. Everything is well built and works like a charm. Communication with him was also very nice.

That RetroPad seems pretty neat, and not all that hard to build. I may give it a go.

Hmmm yeah agreed the lite version would appear to be basic enough for me to build the only worry thing for me would be programming the thing.

Wonder if it's possible to adapt the design slightly so rather than having cables for each pad you could have just the socket mounted on the device and changed via a switch

It's not an all in one, but if you're looking for something that'll let you use your Dreamcast, Gamecube and PS2 pads on your PC I'd heartily recommend getting a Trio Linker Plus 2. I was looking for something that would allow me to use my Dreamcast arcade stick on my PC for things like MAME and DEMUL, so I picked one up from eBay for about £20 and it works like a charm - just plug and play, no need to download any external drivers (using Windows 7 that is).

bit of a bump but im planning on building a batch of retropad lites for me and my friends if there was any demand from folks in UK/europe id happily sell em for around £35-40 and given i can source snes/nes/megadrive controllers for like £2 or less id probly throw a modded one in for free since rewiring them isnt too diffcult :D

just trying to guage a general consensus since ordering pcbs is obvuisly cheaper the more you get so id add a few more onto the order im planning if people wanted any
