xbox 360 and xbox have never made a profit for microsoft. I doubt they will give up on consoles. Most likely it involves natal, and price.
they won't give up, they have a huge market share now. They have build up a ridiculous fanbase, and have the cash to support it without profits from it. An Xbox fan can be swayed to other microsoft products. It's a gateway.
It's so much more of a commitment at that point. Dipshits calling you at 5AM to tell you they get paid on Monday and shit.
