I'd like to upgrade the fw of my MD Everdrive cart to the latest version. I have an Altera ByteBlasterMV cable (Parallel version) and the JTAG connector. Unfortunately I cannot set up the cable because the Programmer always says 'Kernel mode driver not installed' I followed the instructions in the ByteBlaster manual: http://www.altera.com/literature/ug/ug_bbmv.pdf - installed the Quartus II Programmer - started the BBLPT utility -> bblpt /i I also tried to manually install the driver as described on page 12, but that didn't solve the problem Does somebody know how to solve that kernel driver error
i never use byteblaster under linux, so can't help here. just want to notice that byteblaster should be connected to cart, cart should be plug in console, console power should be on
I had the same problem. I dicked around with it for a week+ doing what they and google suggested. I got lazy and purchased the USB version for $20 on ebay, which worked first try. -ack
