Hey guys I have an ipod that isn't linked to my itunes since most of the music I have would be deleted. I don't use iTunes to store my music since I have no desire to have it stored on my PC. I just want it on my iPod. With the new iTunes, I can't seem to get my podcasts to transfer to my iPod. I used to click on the podcast and drag it to the right side of the screen and manually place it in the iPod but that option doesn't seem to work anymore. Any tips? I just want to do that one specific thing.....manually transfer songs/podcasts to an iPod that isn't set up to sync with my iTunes. Thanks!
what OS are you using? i never used itunes when i had an ipod, on Linux from memory i used Rhythmbox, Amarok and Banshee. all could do what you want easily. on windows i'm not sure tbh i don't use windows for any media and have not done so for a long time. as for mac os, again no idea i dont use it but itunes is probably one of the only options there.
You have selected to manually manage the iPod from the settings, right? If you do that, it doesn't have to be synced to your iTunes to put stuff on it. At least that's how it used to work.
I'm using a PC. I don't sync the iPod. I used to be able to drag and drop but that feature is suddenly gone....
Looks like I had to click on the iPod button and choose to manually manage music. Which is strange since I obviously never unchecked it to begin with.
I tell you a method. You can use iTools.Because iTools can convert music to any apple device iTunes alternative, such as transfer music to iPod without iTunes. It can be said to be a free music app for IOS.
