Can anyone link me up with a good list of sellers to avoid on Amazon, eBay and Half.com etc? I got screwed on a CD, it's a stupid russian copy. Got a refund but still stupid as hell. I try googling the seller names but sometimes they dont come up. Anyhow, I buy a lot of CDs and could really use this so I don't get screwed by counterfeits.
It goes without saying that you never, ever buy or sell anything to anyone in Nigeria. I had a Nigerian scammer try to buy an NR Reader off me... he said it was for his sister's wedding. Not a terribly convincing story, and it wasn't like I'd asked for an explanation of who he was buying it for in the first place...
Yeah, I figure the biggest tip is the country of origin, but sometimes, like with this guy, it's listed as a US state. This one said Wyoming and it came from Mexico. They also a lot of the times have multiple names. I think the most bootleg thing I see is anime and game soundtracks and stuff like that, but music CD's seem to have the same problem.
Lol, that cracked me up. I got a £4000 cheque for a £300 car i sold from a scammer. I used it as a bookmark!
