I was thinking of buying this monitor guys Its a 24 inch benq 24 that i want to use for gaming, watching tv, photoshop and modeling in 3d packages ill pop into akihabara when i have time but where have you guys found cheaper generally? Akihabara or Amazon? Amazon have a nice cash on delivery system now which is good for me as i havent signed up for a credit card yet. Hmm as a side question whats the best looking credit card to get?! http://www.amazon.co.jp/BenQ-24型-LCDワイドモニタ-E2420HD-ブラック/dp/B002MRTR2G
Do you really need to ask such a question. Just shop around places like Bic Camera, Yamada Denki, DeoDeo, Best Denki, Kojima and so on. Actually, Yamada Denki always comes up trumps with me. Both of my LED screens where from there and both at fantastic prices.
How much did it set you back Yakumo and what did you get? 21 inch monitors are going for the price the Benq 24 inch monitor is in BiC camera and Yodabashi Camera Shinjuku
50" Sharp Aquos only 79'000 yen. Brand new model too. Released this January. They also had the Toshiba that I won. Again a brand new model 37" at 78'000 yen. Ask in store for deals or when they will have a deal on. I'm sure you can get a very nice monitor for cheaper at Yamada Denki than the likes of Amazon.
wow thats a real good deal! I missed january sales but that sounds so nice I think I might pop to the one in Shinjuku tomorrow! T_Chan -thats too otaku for me haha i will get laughed at by the girls!
Maybe too creepy for girls indeed... How about these then ? ;-) ... and I suppose that there are companies that allow you to supply any image you want...
Rememeber to get a point card if you go to Yamada or Bic Camera as you'll probably get enough points to buy a couple of extras. I bought my 20" Sharp Aquos TV about 4 years ago from Bic Camera and then it cost just over 70,000 (although the Pound to Yen rate was 240 at the time, it is 132 now....)
I am so picky! BTW Labi didnt have much selection up in Shinjuku I am down to the following either : a BenQ BL2400PT or one of the top 3 here on Kakaku http://kakaku.com/pc/lcd-monitor/ranking_0085/ http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=ja&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mitsubishielectric.co.jp%2Fhome%2Fdisplay%2Fproduct%2Fmulti%2Frdt232wx%2Fspec.html The expensive 2 are both IPS screens and are going for 30,000 yen which is about 225 pounds bearing in mind the weak pound and strong yen I dont understand Japanese neither so not sure what the reviews are really saying other than its great...i guess? I dont know if any of the guys reviewing the mitsubshi's have mentioned whether its height adjustable, tilt, swivel, (which the Benq does) Actually the benq BL2400PT is not as pretty as the EW2420 in my opinion but it comes with a free stand. I did look at the Samsung PX2370 too which seems to get very good user reviews. I will be mainly doing 3dsmax work, some 2d graphic work, playing movies and the odd game here and there (hook up the xbox 360). Ill probably be lying on my bed sometimes too and tilt the screen down I dont want to buy another monitor for a long time and the Dell U2410 and other IPS monitors are a lot more expensive..though having said that if I were to purchase a vesa stand its only then 5000 yen difference!
