What is the official rule of Amazon regarding selling games to another country? When I tried to buy MadWold for Wii they said no but luckily ServiceGames bought it for me

Yesterday I ordered House of the Dead Over Kill since there's no sign of a Japanese release and guess what? Take a look below.

Is there a certain day when they won't export games or something? Crazy! I've bought 5 DVDs and 4 Wii games from Amazon US now and about 8 DVDs from Amazon UK. I've also been refused a total of 6 times on games and DVDs from Amazon UK and US. To me it just seems radom on when they will and will not export DVDs and games.

Depends really. Some items are not sold in other countries due to request from supplyer. I know some items I have bought have said sold only in U.S. Make sure it also says "sold and shipped by amazon" since amazon will also let other sellers sell through them.

Also try buying from other sellers through amazon using the "more buying options" and that might resolve your issue.

Even though most are private sellers, if they screw you over amazon will reimburse you since it counts towards their reputation. I can vouch for the reimbursement.

I've bought DVDs shipped from Amazon US to Europe before no problem, but it seems the "other sellers" on Amazon don't do international delivery at all a lot of times.

AFAIK, DVDs and books are fair game across the board. Games are not. That's been my experience. However, it looks like you're buying from an offshoot of Amazon, not Amazon themselves. (someone confirm?). Might have something to do with it. I ordered some BD's a few weeks ago, and they were sold to me by Amazon, LLC.

Nope, it's Amazon, else it would have the seller's name instead of "Amazon Export Sales Inc." in the Sold by: part.

Amazon Export Sales, Inc is not Amazon.

That's where this bit came in

Maybe Amazon LLC and Amazon Export Sales are departments of the main Amazon? Normally when you want to buy from other stores that sell through Amazon you need to click the "other sellers" or what ever it's called. The first option is always Amazon or so I though.

Anyway, I thing the think to look for if you want to import from Amazon is something after the main name or a store that sells through them.

I sell I lot of items on Amazon for work and 3rd party sellers can generally choose where they want to ship items. They can also change whether they do or not at any time. We often get requests to send items to Europe and will do so if it's an expensive item by changing the shipment options and upping the price a little to make back postage costs. As for Amazon selling items themselves, I've never been able to order any games from Amazon.com
