You need to give us a lot more information. Can you hear anything in the background, is there any indication the unit works at all, what signal are you tapping, what have you eliminated so far?

    Slow down there! Punctuation helps!

Now answer the rest of his questions ;)

Do you get sound? Does the CD spin up? Is the PSU alright?

Ok the psu i have used a volt meter and is fine.
I get only the power light no access light at all.
I have found my s/video cable now to test.
Just test it with s/video black screen no bios boot up at all.

Please tell me is this good Punctuation.

    Lol, lovely punctuation ;)

Are you testing the PSU as-is or under load? You want to see how it's behaving under load. And a current reading might be helpful, too.

It sounds like the PSU is probably OK, though. I seem to remember the switch causing issues in these.

Inside the console, there's a filter circuit, then it should output +Vcc and +12V. Check you're getting that inside the console (probe anything with +Vcc and +12V e.g. a chip if you can't find a probe point).

Check the switch. Check to see if there are any SMT fuses around there (can't remember offhand).

Ihave just got a working system off a mate to test the psu and it works the psu.

Certainly sounds like it's an issue fairly close to the input of the console - could even be the switch. See where you're getting Vcc and you should be able to narrow it down. Use the circuit diagram if it helps... IIRC the UK machine is a v3 board.

Sounds like bad PSU to me... I got a CD32 that had exact same problem and when I checked PSU alone it gave nice 12V and 5V, but under load 12V disappeared D:

If the PSU is not dead afterall, then you're probably looking at a brick... you can try disconnecting the CD drive, the system will boot up without it. Reseating the kickstart ROM in bottom right may help too.

EDIT: did not notice you tested PSU already.

    daughter board

Check that the cdrom daughter board is connected to main board properly.
Otherwise it will freeze during bootrom like you describe.
