Recently I bought an Amstrad Mega PC unit. The original barrel cmos battery was dead and had leaked, I cleaned the mess and installed a new battery. After firing it up and going into the Bios setup, I added some automatic settings and the HDD type:27 (has the original 40mb seagate Amstrad HDD. After the reboot the HDD flashes and its asking for some sort of boot disk, anyone has any idea where can I find it?. Also, once some of the info is saved how can one enter the bios setup again? Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe the HDD got formatted and it doesn't have DOS or Windows installed? Maybe you screwed up in the BIOS? If its the former, try to get some MS-DOS boot diskettes or a copy of Windows 3.1 on hand. If its the latter, write the drive parameters down on a separate sheet of paper or jot it down in notes on your phone or notepad on another computer and enter it manually or at least verify that the parameters are correct.
