I feel spoilt in some ways. I could never afford any way to access the internet until the dreamcast came out and i was surfing around on a slick 33kb/s from the comfort of my bed ha. My only experience before this was at a friend's house who if i remember correctly was working in DOS and i had no idea in the slightest what he was doing as I had never used a computer at that point..
@Yakumo: Found the teletext document, it'll take a day or two to scan it and tidy it up in photoshop, it's in a shabby state. In the meantime, I found the staff member at Teletext Ltd that sent it to me - the chief executive! I emailed him to ask about copyright status and get the author's permission, and he's replied saying it would definetely have been him, and he's fine about me putting it on the 'net. He says he doesn't have that document in his 'archive' - hopefully I can twist his arm to share some other stuff
Nice one bobzee! Looking forward to seeing the document. I've got a pretty good idea how Teletext works these days but it'll be interesting to see how they describe it nonetheless.
My favorite part of that video is at 1:19 "Of the estimated two to three thousand home computer users in the bay area..." How times has changed.
