Google has announced a SIM/Hardware unlocked G1 dev phone for $399 to be made available to any Android software developers out there. Engadget article.
I saw one, and it looked like the new LG. I like to actual try one cause theres just too many roomers that start flying around.
On black friday I got a G1 for 99$ (on plan, but mine was just expiring so it's all good). I love it so far. The only problem for me is that one can't write widgets or C software for it only java applications.
I love my G1. The dev-phone is nothing special. It's just a physical representation of the emulator SDK which of course is free.
