Is the game any good? I see it constantly sitting on the shelves of the well-known stores in Japan (on pictures) and being a release as late as of 1995, it's quite expensive and goes for well above 10'000 it seems (sealed at least).

So, has anyone played it a little bit longer and can tell me it it's any good? Especially for the price...

It's a bit of a marmite game. Some people love it, others loathe it. I really like scrolling fighters and I find it average. Looks ok, sounds poor, plays ok. Tbh I find it hard to look past DNM on PCE. Different of course, but one of the best games ever.

    Thanks for your opinion!

I guess after reading this I've decided not to open my copy  ;-)
+1 in the expensive PCE-SCD library. Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari - how is it? Although you mentioned at some point that you were a notorious hunter of everything Kuniokun related, but still... how's the music? I love the 8-bit tunes of the Famicom games (at least of the original DNM which is the only one I've played to far) and I imagine it to be wonderful in wav quality.

Sounds poor!? The rock n roll soundtrack is this games highlight innit?!

Saying that, I like Crest of Wolf 0_o.

That's my point. I just don't like the tune on that one.

Ave - nice title to have sealed.

Did I? I'm not heh, just a fan..of a few of the games. None of the sports (ok SDB is fun) are my thing really. Brawlers though are generally ace. DNM the pinnacle.

PCE is my favourite version (then FC, then 68K, then GBA), sound is very good and faithful to the original tunes. You should really try it, even a naughty copy, as it can be quite pricey in mint condition and I know you like mint!

I'd keep it sealed but the price has fallen in the last year. I picked up a mint complete copy for 2600.

2600 is a good deal. Mine was about 4000 cibler/mint 5 years ago.

Its worth picking up but i would say that about many pce original action/arcade games ect.

i think i won mine for £23 inc postage on ebay about 5 years ago secondhand mint.
im not in to collecting sealed games so i just keep that one safe its a pretty cool game.
