From July 1st to July 4th I will be at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. There will be upcoming game titles on the floor to demo. I'll be looking for some wild dev hardware to snap some photos of (though mainly the games) and will give some details on the demos I played. If you are also attending, by all means participate in posting photos of your game finds. There's lots of vendors each year and some with dev hardware and some with rare items. Some that will be there this year include -Aksys -Bandai Namco -Lab Zero -Sekai Project -IntiCreates -HTC Vive (a whole booth for this) -Atlus USA -And more that I dont know about since there's going to be smaller names (sadly no capcom as far as i see right now - my bad everyone) If you see anything that you think I should look at for gaming related stuff let me know. Pictures to come in the following days.
Line day complete. Off the bat we have the following things. -Freebie bag (HUGE) showcasing Final Fantasy titles (XII Zodiac Age, XIV Online) -Once again a Persona 5 advert with your badge leash (for a Persona 5 bag, limited stock)
More posts to come throughout the day but I'll share some fun stuff so far while everything is closed. Walked in and the first display showing info had TeamViewer open with connection info, they didn't know and they turned it off. Shortly after I saw this be Across from this display I saw closed doors where they're setting up the blizzard booth.
Take a look for the Let It Die booth (GungHo Ent). Not sure what they have showing game wise, but that stuff is super exciting. I know they have some merch too which looks sick for fans of the game. Jealous I can't be there. Enjoy the con!
I'll take a look tomorrow. There's also a lab zero panel I'll be attending. Spent a handsome amount of time at their booth and might have a chance to work in the QA dept of their publisher after some nice words. Also seems that 2 more displays asked for windows activation as well. Seems to be a consistent problem, if one is fixed another breaks
One final day, left after this post goes up. Sadly there was a lot of games not present this year, and poor communication got me to miss the Aksys panel. I'll get some final images of things tomorrow. Not much happening at that booth. Was nice. They had a competition for the mobile game (of which i didnt get pics of for the score board).
Wow definitely a smaller booth than I expected. Kinda thought they'd have gone all out. Those Let It Die shirts are fucking sick though. Wish I could have gone just to score one of those and the shot glasses they were selling. I love that game. See anything else of note?
Nothing else honestly (aside from the Pachinko, which I did NOT take part in this year). It was very very tame. Best I can say was the Lab Zero booth where I got a job offer from their publisher. Panel wise they showed off their engine and I'll be honest that was by far the best part. Video Game wise, the Blizzard booth didn't even have much going for it. It was just merchandise. The turnout was too much (for con goers they sold too many badges) but for panels it was really dry. Even the 18+ ones were like "man this lineup isn't even worth it" level (usually I'm hype as shit for those ones, but there was just nothing good). The lack of Capcom was probably not helping either. Overall best panel was the Trigger panel (if non-video games is to be focused on) but only because it was fun and they actually had stuff worth showing/announcing. So since there isn't much else for me to share (the Lab Zero panel was recorded in full, though it'll be a while to get the whole panel up, not by me either since i didn't record it all) here's my leftover pics of stuff. The PC has a monitor on the side that does stuff. You basically take a monitor, strip most of it, and make it the side panel and it can act as a second display, and do cool effects and such.
