    Great work!

    I am in for one, either group buy or separate if there is no group buy. Feel free to add me to the group buy list.

    I had three Z64 before and stupidly sold them all including the v3 5 years ago, this seems like a better idea than go hunting for the Z64 even though the Z64 is a really sweet piece of hardware especially v3 with menu on the screen.

    Remember how much hassle saving was with the Z64? The only option is to either buy the Neo Myth now or wait for the 64drive.
    Don't go back to the Z64 mate.
    On a side note I still have one, looks pretty nice in my display cabinet. ;P

    I think we should start with the group purchase list, to get things organized and stuff. I'm in for at least one.

    I think compared to the other products out there a >$200 price is probably the reality

    Well , do we have negotiation on the price yet?

    Again , if group buy can decrease the price to less than 120 then count me in for one. :) But if it's like 200 then I woundn't paticipate. I'll just use that 200 Bucks to buy all N64 good games. lol

    Now personally, I think that is a fair price, considering it is not going to be mass produced, and that it blows every other 'backup cart' away on the n64.
    They matter a little bit.
    Anyways, I was off by a bit, I think.
    Priority on NTSC-U->PAL->NTSC-J: 5.83 GB (6,266,290,176 bytes)
    Priority on PAL->NTSC-U->NTSC-J: 5.92 GB (6,358,564,864 bytes)
    Priority on NTSC-J->NTSC-U->PAL: 5.67 GB (6,098,518,016 bytes)
    This is not including extra revisions of games.
    All NTSC-U - Rev A/v1.01 dumps take up 484 MB (507,510,784 bytes)
    All NTSC-U - Rev B/v1.02 dumps take up 96 MB (100,663,296 bytes)
    All PAL - Rev A/v1.01 dumps take up 192 MB (201,326,592 bytes)
    All PAL - Rev B/v1.02 dumps take up 8 MB (8,388,608 bytes)
    All NTSC-J - Rev A/v1.01 dumps take up 356 MB (373,293,056 bytes)
    All NTSC-J - Rev B/v1.02 dumps take up 136 MB (142,606,336 bytes)
    All NTSC-J - Rev C/v1.03 dumps take up 32 MB (33,554,432 bytes)
    For those that may be interested, here is a dat to split the current no-intro n64 set in big endian format by regions, exclusivity, etc. GoodN64v3.14 is missing 31 of the roms in the current no-intro n64 set, I will leave the reader to find them.

    I reckon 150-170(excluding shipping I assume) is an alright price, with the amount of money you save. Cheaper would be nice but I would be 100% fine with spending that much. Are there any 64 games that have extra chips on the inside?

    I've just been lip reading all 6 pages and I noticed people mentioned the 64DD one or twice.

    I'm probably having a blonde moment so my apologies if I sound retarded, but as people have never flat out stated it or articulated it effectively, I'm just curious if I had your cart, F-Zero X an N6DD & my own copy of the F-Zero X 64DD expansion (not a warez copy), would the cart be able to load the extras.

    Also if I had your cart plugged in if I wanted to boot my own physical copy of a 64DD game such as Doshin the giant or whatever would that work?

    Also you mention with full FlashRAM emulation and clean dumps there should be no need for DS1 emulation. Is it possible to add it anyway to work with 'dirty' dumps?

    If not, with time and effort could it be possible? Only asking because whilst I have a bunch of N64 carts sitting around which would be nice to move to storage and play the ROM, alack of this feature would mean I also have a lack of interest. You would also have a lot of customers too though so not to worry, but for me it is better to do it right and do it once than to keep revising it ;)

    EDIT: The video without menu sound also disturbed me a little bit. I thought mabe I muted the sound until a game kicked in and it worked! Also will the cart come with a butchered *insert shitty sports game* case?

    Looks like a great product. Can't wait! How far away do you think we are from production?

    Thanks, Mark.

    Edit: (thanks radorn!)
    animal crossing - real time clock
    morita shogi - modem
    mario photopie - dual smartcard reader
    You mean with the copy of F-Zero X running off of the cartridge? For normal usage of the F-Zero X 64DD expansion, do you "boot into" the expansion with the F-Zero cart inserted in the PI slot, or into the F-Zero X cart? If it is the former, it might not work, if it is the latter, it should work fine.
    Do you need to boot into a regular 64 game in order to boot said physical copy of a 64DD game? If not, there should not be any interference at all.
    It could, but I think a PC DS1 / DX256 dump extractor might be the better solution. Either way, I doubt that such functions will be built into the loader.

    Any chance you could make a video of the Wildcard 64? It's really rare and I'd like to see how it works.
