Developer of Deus Ex and the Thief series. It's unknown what will happen to these titles (Chances are, Eidios still have the rights), but this is pretty major. Could this be signs, that Eidios (Creator of various shit games, but does have a balance of good games and not as bad as acclaim), could be in trouble?

I liked Ion Storm (despite the fact that they put out Daikatana), due in large part to Deus Ex. I still can't say I'm too sad to see them go.

I used to think that Eidos = Poop.

Then I got my hands on Mr. Mosquito, been aces since.

Warren Specter wasn't involved in Daikatana though! Deus Ex is the best game ever. Shame that the sequel really wasn't anything like it.

How about blocking the police box in HK with crates and chair and then KILLLING those two Australian girls... :smt067

    *starts foaming at the mouth*

    A very good game indeed.

It's the only game I can remember (other than Daggerfall) that I've bought multiple copies of.

I think of it as a good thing. I dislike how Warren Spector handled the development of Thief 3. I also dislike how he handled the creation of Deus Ex2 by conforming to what Eidos/focus groups wanted and not sticking to what made part 1 so great. At least this guy wasn't as bad as Romero. They are still trying to get his smell out of the Dallas studio.

From what I read, neither Harvey Smith nor Warren Spector really liked the way Deus Ex 2 came out. They apparently spent a lot of time developing their own rendering engine which never made the cut. This took a large chunk of their time, and little was left to make a decent game with. I can honestly say I wish they just would have cancelled it and let it die. Hopefully they won't soil the name more with a Deus Ex 3.
