At first: i know that KRIKzz has many Many MANY requests about Game Gear, Game Boy and Nintendo 64 Everdrives, I would only like to show an hope for the future I'm an Atari 7800 player, but Atari 7800 flash carts' world is empy: CC2 is sold out and other cartridges are very very very far to be released. I know that main systems are more important that the 7800 but it would filled an hole in Classic System Flash Carts I could donate and help as I can for reaching the goal! Thak you for everyrhing you do of course
http://www.atariage.com/forums/topi...ge__view__findpost__p__2010387__fromsearch__1 http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/165892-h2/ That's the project from the Harmony (Atari 2600) cart people. I figured this would be released by now for the 7800, not sure what's taking so long. They might be waiting for the full release of the Atari 7800 expansion module from Legacy Engineering (makers of the Flashback 2), I don't know. While I bought the original Harmony right away, and love it, I'm not too interested in the 7800 one. I have a 7800, but I find that there just aren't that many decent games that weren't widely available. There have been several homebrews like Beef Drop (Burger Time), Super/Jr. Pac-Man, but not a ton (I have those carts anyway). Plus the 7800 audience is very much US-centric, as it saw a limited European release. Also, the Harmony guys have a very loyal following on Atari Age, might not get too many takers from there. The other reason I'm not gung ho about the Harmony 7800 is that it won't have the Pokey audio chip, which was the special chip in a few games that greatly improved the sound. The 7800 itself, in a move of cheapness, only has 2600-level sound, which is terrible for that era of console. The Expansion Module will simulate the Pokey, but I'm not that interested in buying that thing right now. My point is, I doubt Igor is going to install a Pokey chip. And without it, neither his nor the Harmony stack up to the Cuttle Cart 2 (which unfortunately I don't have).
The problem About Harmony is that is very far to be released, it's not sure it will be released in 2011... at least 6 months, at least
Given that Krikzz is working on Gameboy and N64 projects at the moment, not sure he'd finish any faster.
