Another XBOX issue

Hard to search for specifics , sorry if it's been covered


Have a console that powers on with no video , solid green light
When powered on with eject , it flashes green constant
Without a dvd drive attached , same deal , no red ring / error

I read that it could be a botched modchip install / flash etc but this console was never opened

Console is clean . board looks like new , no bad caps etc

 

First thing to try is a different video cable, do you hear boot sounds at all?

 

Original Xbox yeah??
could be dead hdd or busted av port (but if av port it should flash orange)
could be bad gpu bga or encoder chip has a cold joint..

hows the psu looking?

Do you get sound

 

Tried different cables , no sound either

 

what version xbox is it? You ever here of a xbox coma console?

Also its possible to install a modchip to wake it up.

Could be a bad NVidia MCPX too.

Thanks for the info ,, I think its a 1.4-1.5 from late 2003 has a focus chip

 

You probs have a Winbond flash, if you want to keep the console stock I'd buy a new blank Ic and have it flashed with the stock bios or the evox one used for that bios in TSOP flashed units if a stock one is hard to find..

or find a junk 1.4 and swap flashes ....
