I could get an Arcade Card Pro in a trade but since it was only released in Japan, all of the games that supports it or requires it are in Japanese. If there a decent game that I could try to get that is easy to play without knowing Japanese language? How about Vasteel 2? I have the first one, US copy and I enjoyed it. TIA
There are about 12 games released for the ACD, most of them don't require any Japanese knowledge to play, I've got the ACD pro, well worth it IMHO: http://www.pcedaisakusen.net/2/36/home.htm Battlefield Wrestling '94 / 新日本プロレスリング'94 バトルフィールド IN 闘強導夢 Garou Densetsu 2 - Aratanaru Tatakai - / 餓狼伝説2 ―新たなる闘い― Garou Densetsu Special / 餓狼伝説SPECIAL Janshin Densetsu - Quest of Jong Master / 雀神伝説 QUEST OF JONG MASTER Kabuki Itouryodan / カブキ一刀涼談 Ryūko No Ken / Art Of Fighting / 龍虎の拳 World Heroes 2 / ワールドヒーローズ2 Fire Pro Female Wrestling / ファイプロ女子 憧夢超女大戦 全女 vs JWP Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire / 銀河婦警伝説サファイア Mad Stalker - Full Metal Force / マッドストーカー フルメタルフォース Madou Monogatari - Hono No Sotsuengo / 魔導物語I 炎の卒園児 Strider Hiryuu / ストライダー飛竜
Good list to start with. I noticed they all are ACD games, not a single SCD that has Arcade Card support. From a FAQ somewhere: Any of those SCD worth looking into or are they heavy with Japanese text?
Yeah, no PCE shoot'em up collection is complete w/o this one. It's the ultimate show off tech demo master piece, which shows what a PCE really was/is capable of.
Obviously you need to watch out for the dodgy bootlegs of that one though. Loads of very convincing fakes out there. Awesome game though.
Strider Hiryu and Mad Stalker are worth looking into, althought they're both available for PlayStation as well.
1- Sapphire (shooter built up for AC format) 2- Kabuki Ittouryan (fighting game based on Tengai Makyo characters built up for AC format, it's a SF2 clone with some balance problem but fun) 3- SNK ports (they are better than SNES and Mega Drive ports) 4- Strider (port could have been better but it has two exclusive stages and cinematics)
If you don't like Shmups, Mahjong, or Pro Wrestling games you're kind of out of luck on this one if you're trying to play games that don't require knowledge of Japanese. At least not enough to be worth buying an arcade card for, in my opinion.
