I've got a curve 8520 and i really do like it even if its an entry level BlackBerry. The one and only thing that I've downloaded for it so far is Bolt the web browser, it is better than the default browser i find
I hate typing on the iPod Touch/iPhone. Typing on the full keyboard on my winmob is 20x better (xperia x2). As for web pages, I feel the iPhone is better because of the width of the screen (specially when in portrait). When using opera on my phone, the stupid top and bottom bars take up too much space which leaves barely much room for viewing. I can turn them off but then I could never find out how to bring back up the menus so I can change tabs/sites. =/ Biggest problem with my current phone is the SE software team are god awful.
On my BB, cut and paste is ridiculously awesome. It works in virtually any context you could want, over any application.
im using a 9700 bold.. great hp. iPhone imo is all hype. used 2 Generations of it and the 3rd.. i didnt even open and i sold it to a guy at launch day to the surprise of many people queueing !~ haha
Some would argue the 3rd gen is where it stopped being crippled. OS 4 is finally unleasing it and finally see how capable it is with multitasking. Personally anything below 3GS is useless.
Never understood why so many people were buying the first crappy iPhone that didn't even have 3G...but then again, seems like Apple fanboys will buy anything with their logo on it.
iPad was sold for like 1000bucks here.. maybe more.. and its sold out coz it wasnt even launch. No warranties too. Anyway back to Blackberry.. Maybe we can have a BB Pin exchange for BBM?
I too am on owner of both a Blackberry 9700 and an iPhone 3G. The iPhone was a horrible experience, with it cutting out, and horrible interface. The Blackberry 9700 I've had for about 2months now, and its been a blast. +1 to BB Pin Exchange.
The new Bold is pretty nice. They removed the roller ball, which was a major pain in the ass to support because it would get lint under it. They now have a micro touchpad, which is very responsive.
Not much of a fan of the touchpad myself, I got a new bold from work 2 months or so ago ended up buying myself a curve to get the roller ball back. Hard to get high scores on brick breaker with the track pad! haha
I love the touchpad on my blackberry, i find it soo easy to use and never had any problem with it. I guess after having a SE phone with terrible joystick and a a few other phones with crappy navigation buttons make the Touchpad on my BB seem a million times better.
On the subject of games, anybody have any decent games (paid or non-paid) - a good texas holdem would be good, I paid for two before and they were terrible!
I thought the Bold had Poker on it out of the box? The AT&T one does, anyway. It was not a bad game. Something to play on the toilet, I suppose.
