I recently got a Vita (only been turned on to have a look) and have been looking around for any decent games that I would enjoy (Fighting and RPG). I know Mortal Kombat and the Playstation Version of Smash Bros are decent fighters and I saw a couple of the 3DS ports of The Tales series was released, but only in Japan and there was no plans of a western release which is a shame as I love the Tales Series.

Are there any other Vita Games I should plan to get? Or is the console doomed and I should get a 3DS instead?

I'd suggest Dead or Alive 5+.

3DS has a much better selection of games however.

If you like RPGs you should buy Persona 4 Golden when it releases in Australia or import a copy from the US.

    Fighters: DOA5+ is excelent
    RPGs: Persona 4 Golden
Racers: Sonic Racing is a good port, Wipeout is still graphically stunning.

Really consider something like PSN+. You'll frequently get free games (good ones) and great discounts on the PSN store.

But region locked so you get ****ed waiting for the Euro release.

    Rayman Origins?

Just in case you're looking for something other than fighting and RPGs.

Rayman Origins on the Vita is fantastic. Highly recommended.

I got a lot of fun out of the Uncharted games too, a lot more extra stuff to do than in the console versions.

Wipeout is very addictive but it didn't take long to finish it.

Both Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Street Fighter x Tekken received Vita ports, both fun games to play. There's BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend as well if you like anime fighters, and a couple of others I think you already mentioned.

For a second there I thought you said FFXII, I was about to we my pants! :(

I hope the Vita prices go down even further so I can get one to play Persona 4 Golden...right now I can't justify the price.

Absolutely, EDF is amazing on the Vita. I think it's the game that I have played the most on the console.

I just played that on an emulator. I see no point in buying a game that is already on PS2.

PLEASE! Go into the Playstation Mobile bit of the store, and buy a game called Pixel - it's only a couple of quid, and if you like 8-Bits, and a bit of platforming, you will LOVE it!
