Any fans of the SCPH-50001 model? Is yours going strong

I'm talking about the PS2 Fat Model with the I/R receiver and no S400 port. I got two SCPH-50001's that run GTA perfectly. I have a V9 in very good shape and V10 in rough shape and they read perfectly. Does your 50001 read GTA 3, VC or SA well? I'm worred about having a 50001 model though. Is 50001 good as 39001? I'm worried about mecahon crash and i never used burned discs at all. I always play games retail and none of my V9 or V10's have the Romeo mod installed Am i gonna be fine?

 

Take care of your consoles and it should be fine. If you do not do any modding, they will likely work as designed.

i got three 50001 models (two v9s and one v10) and on my main one i play psx cdr backups and still goin strong. kind of hard to go back to earlier models cause the v9/v10 are so quiet lol. also if i remember correctly, @l_oliveira said the romeo mod was pointless

For someone that can't mod consoles, you seem to worry a heck of a lot about things that technically speaking, you shouldn't even have any knowledge of...

 

I have mine SCPH 50004 fully restored/cleaned (New laser lens+500 GB HDD+64GB USB stick+128MB memorycard+Network Adapter+Remote with power function) ans is rocking solid

 

Well in the past I have done v9 and v10 consoles with the Romeo mod and had no probleams.
