Feels like I remember there being one, I've searched google though and at best just find other people asking the same thing. I'm certain there was somewhere that was scanning a lot of issues of this or something. Anyone know?

Thanks for the link, gotta wait till I can signup it appears though.

Actually found RetroMags today through a forum with a guy claiming to be putting lots of GameFans up. Sadly it appears he never actually did that and was getting ahead of himself, or they took them down or something.

There was a host problem with RM (iirc someone filed a complaint) and a lot of scans had to be re-uploaded to file host services such as Megaupload. I don't know whether more issues were available before that incident however.

They currently have a cut-off date of December 31st 1999 where they will not accept any contribution newer than that.

I used to have up a lot of good scans from the early years, but got depressed and emo-y and took them down. "Game Pilgrimage" (Scott Heath) hosted it, but then he got annoyed with me or something, so actually maybe it was him that took them down, but anyway I didn't save my copies and don't feel like doing them again. Sorry

You could maybe ask the modern Gamefan -- still headed by Dave, I think -- to put up perfect iPad/Kindle-ready versions of their backlog if you want, like 3 bucks a piece, I'd suggest, or less, or buy them from that billmarioman for 20 bucks+ a piece on eBay. or whatever. Some lucky Craigslist ad, or surely they're up on the net somewhere, but they were pretty cool i gues. Actually the whole underground DIY (do-it-yourself) 'zine scene was great in the 80s and 90s, I think, and Gamefan I felt sort of bridged the gap between the world of stuff like OPCFG and EGM.

They had so much passion :) Mainly visually. Since E-Storm wrote half of it and he used to be a car salesman.

Would never have discovered stuff like Tempest 2000, Silpheed and Landstalker without them. So many games. I remember Silpheed got like 3/5 in Gamepro but perfect 100s by GF :D

Oh and Nick Rox -- his dad is Murdock on MacGuyver! I saw a video of him with the developers of Anarchy Reigns in Japan, but then I can't find it anymore, i guess it's gone

Shit the Secret Service are after me. No joke ( http://youtu.be/9s5KC-b8734 ) - gotta stop leaving death threats or whatever it is I've been doing lately. Probably shouldn't have said Fox News needs to be bombed right now, and Megan Kelly's throat slit, among other stuff. Whoa boy, no way I can talk my way out of this mess :(
