Pretty much any JRPG on a Nintendo system should qualify, I guess...? Your "no violence of any kind" requirement is a bit ambiguous, since it depends on your personal definition of "violence" (would e.g. stomping a goomba in one of the Mario RPGs qualify already? Where exactly do you draw the line?).

when i mean violence i mean overuse of gore and being killed in grusome ways etc etc (mario stomping on goombas isnt violent because its done in a more cartoony way

Mario RPG would be a great choice, since all kids love Mario, making the game a great "My First JRPG"

Make sure you have the headphone jack hooked up to at least a 2.1 speaker setup and you'll be right... :friendly_wink:
Soundtrack is fantastic - Thanks Motoi Sakuraba!

I remember hearing some music from Shining Force III and thought, that sounds awfully familiar...
Then I saw the game in action and the characters all looked like they were plucked out of Golden Sun.
Turns out Golden Sun was recycled art, but damn it was good art! :encouragement:

yeah grandia is kinda kid friendly it woudnt hurt a small child to play one of the greatest rpgs on the psx and i never got why it got a T rating its not that bad is it unless its because of the bad voice acting XD
