I know its somewhat of an odd question since they probably aren't as popular as japanese ones, but does anyone know a way to bid on korean auctions from the states? I searched hoping there was something similar to rinkya and whatnot but no luck. Or would there happen to be anyone in korea on this board willing to make a nice commision? I managed to find something korean that I've been searching for for quite a while. Doubt it will ever end up being in the american or japanese channels. My girlfriend has a good friend from high school who was from korea and very nice. I'm thinking he would be willing to help, but we've lost his contact information and I don't know if I will be able to get to him in time. I'm just throwing up a hail mary here. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Well, in case anyone was wondering, this is what I missed out on: Went for about $40 usd. Last time (only time) I saw one go on an english site I believe it went for around $500 as-is/no cables. I was going to offer my girlfriends korean friend $100 + all auction/shipping fees to bid on it for me but we couldn't get a hold of him in time. Between this and Yakumo swiping my Karaoke machine, this has not been a good auction week for me
Sorry to bump a super old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any luck in the past with purchasing gaming items from Korea? I knew someone from another forum who lived there for three years, and as a result I managed to mass a very large Korean Sega Mega Drive collection (72 to be exact) which I am very proud of and I would love to try and get more. Korean is such a tough nut to track and I have also searched for ways to infiltrate them in regards to purchasing, but unfortunately to no avail. Anyway, probably pointless to bump this, but I thought I would see if it bares any results?
however most of trade would be via COD of sort - you meet the seller and exchange the money with goods to avoid the crooks prevalent...
